Review : Zotac GeForce GT 710 Zone Edition 2GB

Enjoy all your videos and pictures in HD with the ZOTAC GeForce GT 710 ZONE Edition Graphics Card. With 1GB of DDR3 RAM, the GT 710 provides faster video editing, photo editing, and web browsing than integrated graphics.

You can also get drivers and optimize game settings with a single click using the GeForce experience. The ZOTAC GeForce GT 710 also features a passive heatsink.

Who is the product suitable for?

The performance of the Zotac GeForce GT 710 Zone Edition 2GB graphics card is hardly worth mentioning. After all, it is a bit faster than many older graphics processors that are directly integrated into the CPU.

The installation can be worthwhile, especially because of the HDMI connection. Especially if the system does not work without a graphics card, it can be a reasonably acceptable solution to be able to use the computer at all.

    Strengths and weaknesses

For operation, the mainboard must have at least one PCI Express slot in version 2.0. That can at least put outdated motherboards in a mess. Almost all types of signal transmission are intended for screens. VGA, DVI and HDMI are available and can be operated at the same time.

The HDMI connection is particularly interesting for newer screens. In addition, the card is passively cooled, can be installed in a half-height housing because the corresponding panel is included, and consumes an acceptable 25 watts.

    Price-performance ratio

Amazon’s request for this modest technology is just over 40 euros. If you need a graphics card at all and have no requirements or want an HDMI connector, that is still within the scope.

As a replacement for an integrated graphics processor, however, it is hardly an alternative, because they have been doing roughly the same thing since 2013. Otherwise, only a used model with an older but stronger chip can be recommended.

    CUDA

NVIDIA’s parallel computing platform which enables an increase in computing performance by harnessing the parallel nature of GPU processing. CUDA compatible applications can assign intensive parallel computing tasks, such as real-time video rendering, to the GPU to process, freeing up the computer’s CPU to run other tasks.

    PhysX

NVIDIA’s hardware accelerated physics engine computes how objects move in space in real time. Having a physics engine precludes the need for programs to pre-animate rendered objects which can give an unrealistic “canned animation” feel.

The PhysX engine also allows for designers to create more detailed objects, relying on the GPU’s processing power rather than a bloated programming back end.

    Adaptive V-Sync

NVIDIA’s Adaptive Vertical Sync minimizes stuttering and tearing by monitoring and adjusting the card’s frame rate output.

At high frame rates, Adaptive V-Sync is enabled to slow down the output frame rate to prevent tearing as a result of losing sync with your monitor. At lower frame rates, Adaptive V-Sync will automatically be disabled to minimize stuttering.

    PureVideo HD

The combination of high-definition video decode acceleration and post-processing that delivers picture clarity, smooth video, accurate color, and precise image scaling for movies and video.
