The Best Graphics Cards 2022 For Gaming

GAMING SUPPORT – What’s The Best Graphics Cards for the money right now?

Dive into our list and let us guide you to the best graphics cards for your needs.

The best graphics cards for 2022 can help you with your video editing or graphic design needs, as well as handle any graphically intensive game at high resolutions. And, there are some really impressive cards like the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 .

Unfortunately, AMD and Nvidia graphics cards are currently in short supply, leading to skyrocketing prices on the used market. The latest cards in the AMD RDNA 2 and Nvidia Ampere lineup are definitely worth it, but you’ll want to make sure you’re picking the right card before you drop hundreds of dollars.

Whichever direction you take, whether you’re upgrading your old gaming laptop or building your own PC , you need one of the best GPUs for an immersive and seamless experience with the best PC games or the most demanding content creation software. Take a look at our list to find the solution that suits you best.

    Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti

Let’s not forget that the RTX 2060 Super is, for all intents and purposes, the opposite number of the RTX 3060 Ti for the RTX 30 series. The price tags of both cards match at launch, at €449 , but the significant pull of the RTX 3060 Ti to RTX 2080 Super performance again shows the tremendous generational leap introduced with the Ampere architecture. RTX 3060 TI SPECIFICATIONS

The RTX 3060 Ti has a decent 1665MHz boost clock, rendered partially useless due to Nvidia’s GPU Boost technology, which will often see this GPU far exceed that under load – around 1875MHz on average. This makes it the fastest in the RTX 30 series to date.

This is also a Founders Edition reference card, so we’re not considering out-of-the-box overclocking. However, the general availability of the Founders Edition coincides with the launch of the third-party AIB RTX 3060 Ti (December 2, 2020), so keep an eye out for OC models if you want to push things a bit further.

    Specifications for RTX 3060 Ti

    Stream Processors4,864
Basic Clock1.41 GHz (1.67 GHz boost)
    Memory8 GB GDDR6
    Memory Clock14 Gbps
    Exits HDMI2.1, 3x DisplayPort 1.4a
Power Connectors1x PCIe 8 pin (adapter to 1x 12 pin included)

However, you’ll miss the Founders Edition shroud if you do. It’s pretty much the same cooler design as the RTX 3070, which makes it comparable to my personal favorite of the lot, but it differs in one minor way: the tone of the metallic finish on the RTX 3060 Ti is considerably more lighter than dark gray for the three 30-series cards above.

It just pushes the RTX 3060 Ti to the top of the leaderboard in my eyes, but that’s purely an aesthetic shake-up. Both offer much the same quiet and cool operation as the others, equipped with the Nvidia-branded heatsink and smart cutout cooler, and they also use the new compact 12-pin power connector. Don’t worry, there’s only one 8-pin to 12-pin adapter included in the box.

    Peformance RTX 3060 Ti

Still, these are mostly cosmetic changes, and while this cooler provides more than adequate cooling power. It’s the redesign of the rasterized rendering pipeline through the Ampere architecture that is the architect of its performance. The details of which you can read more about in our Nvidia RTX 3080 review, but again for those on the back.

Each streaming multiprocessor, or SM, in Nvidia’s RTX 30 GPUs received double the number of floating point units (FP32) compared to previous generations of GPUs . The advantage is greater parallelism and the ability to not only switch between integer and floating point operations depending on the workload. But also to use more FP32 units when there is fewer entire operations required. This happens a lot in games, hence the change.

FP32 units within a given GPU are also what Nvidia counts as the CUDA Core total for each GPU specification. So when comparing the RTX 30 series with the RTX 20 series. The reality of such an architectural split becomes very clear.

    Cores

Where you might expect a card closer to the RTX 2060 Super’s 2,176 core count, we’re now looking at the 4,854 CUDA Core RTX 3060. The same could be said for the opposite number of 4,352 CUDA Core RTX 2080 Ti (sort of). The RTX 3090, equipped with 10,752 CUDA cores.

It’s all been an efficient experiment in GPU topology too, with the existing RTX 30-series GPUs managing to dominate their RTX 20-series counterparts. And I’m happy to report that the RTX 3060 Ti is no different . But we will get there.

    Capacity RAM

With 8GB of GDDR6 capacity and a free 256-bit memory bus. The RTX 3060 Ti is capable of an overall memory bandwidth of 448GB/s, which matches the RTX 3070 in every way. only possible concern for any potential buyer of the spec list that I can point out with possible dismay.

It’s not that an 8GB memory capacity apparently has much of an impact on gaming performance right now. Not to say that it will not be the case at one time or another.

I won’t talk too much about unsubstantiated rumors in a review, but we’ve heard several rumors of as-yet-unannounced RTX 30-series cards with higher memory capacities than currently available. Including an RTX 3080 with 20GB of VRAM, an RTX 3080 Ti with 20 GB of VRAM, and even an RTX 3060 with up to 12 GB of VRAM.

It’s hardly proof of anything, I have to admit. But that makes me wonder if this is just reflexive action in light of AMD’s 16GB (and possibly 12GB) RX 6000 series graphics cards. Or if there’s a dark cloud which is approaching for those of us who own cards with, perhaps, say, modest memory capacities and overall bandwidth .

    Conclusion

Every game developer I’ve spoken to has been keen to make better use of larger high-speed memory stores for more elaborate textures and the like chance. Scalability is still the name of the game for almost every stage of development, and not in the least for PC games.

But as I said, that’s not so much a reality that we have to face today. The RTX 3060 Ti manages to maintain a stable gallop in modern games at 1080p, 1440p and even 4K. Which is the first time I think we can safely say that of an xx60 level graphics card without hissing laborious or serious warnings.

What are the tips and tricks to doSo instead of being curiousbetter have a look at the discussion belowguys!

    1Learn Every Weapon Spray Pattern

Each weapon has a different spray patternand the spray pattern will determine the pattern and direction of the bullets we fire from a certain weaponAlthough the spray pattern in Valorant is more random than FPS games in generalyou can still learn it by continuously using the weaponOver timeyou will surely memorize the bullet model of the weapon you are using.

Generallyhigh recoil weapons are very difficult to use in long range shotsConverselyweapons with low recoil and low damage are not recommended for close range usebut are quite effective if used at a distance.

    2Never underestimate the gun

The pistol is a powerful enough weapon to use in Valorantyou can even kill enemies easily just by using a pistolIf you don’t have enough money to buy an automatic weaponanother alternative is that you can buy a gun or use a default weapon.

Additionallyyou can also switch from your primary weapon to a pistol when you’re in an emergency. Like running out of bullets in the middle of a brutal firefight.

    3March as the enemy approaches

There are quite a few players who don’t pay attention to step when trying to move forward or approach the enemyWhen you take a step by pressing Shiftyour footsteps will not be heard by the enemy. Allowing you to kill the enemy without being noticed by the opponent.

This is very mandatory to doespecially when you want to set up Spike or want to get close to the enemy so that your position is not overtaken by the enemy.

4Buy armor every turn – Play Valorant

Armor is something you need to buy every turn to increase defense by 50 if you buy armor for 1000It is highly recommended to prioritize armor before buying a weapon so you don’t be easily killed by the enemy.

With an additional 50 defenseyou cannot be hit by 1 hit from an enemy with a sniper weapon such as a Marshal or Operator.

    5Don’t forget to buy skills

Skill is a very useful utility tool on the battlefieldSome characters have different unique skills with different primary functions such as smoke bombsflashbangsor skills that can track enemy whereaboutsThereforeyou should buy skills if you have enough moneyand use them wisely so as not to waste them!

We’re not listing them in any particular order, as these controllers can vary widely in price as well as features. Whether you want the highest-end controller available or something that can hold you back for some basic games, there should be something for just about everyone on this list.

    10 Evil Controllers

From this list we have evil controllers. It is actually an online store that offers custom controllers made by themselves or controllers that you can create personally. Consumers start by choosing a basic controller, so everything from the standard Xbox One, DualShock 4, Xbox Series X, to a DualSense is available.

From there you’ll choose the faceplate design, whether you want shift knobs/paddles, custom analog sticks, additional modifiers, button colors, custom trigger options, and even the ability to customize the logo. Of course, that can get quite expensive, so you’re looking at over $200 for all the bells and whistles.

9 Xbox Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller

Microsoft introduced the Xbox Elite series of wireless controllers back in 2015. It was basically a way to bring out a controller aimed at elite gamers. Gamers who have enjoyed the game and want the absolute best performance from their controller and play with controller on pc, which has been achieved through several different means. Players had additional paddle buttons, they could change the tops of the analog sticks and trigger locks to allow for easier trigger pulls.

That said, the grips were pretty bad on the original controller, which led to a revision of this controller. Gamers can now get the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. Grips are generally no longer an issue here and they come with everything mentioned above. However, there was also the added ability to adjust the tension with the analog sticks.

It includes a built-in battery that players can recharge in the case included with this controller purchase. Unfortunately, this controller is not cheap as it will cost you almost $200. If you’re a casual gamer and don’t need the finer tweaks available with this controller, you can save yourself a bit of money with some of the alternatives below.

    8 Xbox 360 / Xbox One Controllers

Speaking of Xbox, Microsoft has made Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers pretty much a standard for PC gaming. Chances are you already have an Xbox 360 controller or an Xbox One controller around the house. If you have a wired Xbox 360 controller, you can easily plug it into a USB port on your PC and you’re usually good to go and games to play with controller on pc.

Meanwhile, the wireless controllers on both will usually need a USB dongle that will connect multiple controllers to the computer. If you’re looking for a new controller, I suggest you check out the current standard Xbox controllers available today. If you have Bluetooth support on your PC, you can connect your Xbox controller without the dongle.

    7 Sony DualSense Controller

Sony just launched its PlayStation 5 console in the market and it came with a brand new controller launch. Instead of the DualShock 4, more gamers will use the new DualSense. Now this is a big change on the PlayStation 5 as you receive more bells and whistles such as trigger resistance as well as better haptic feedback experiences. Unfortunately, it’s not something you can use a lot on PC.

Still, being a new controller means that it’s readily available and it can be a controller that you can use not only on your PC, but also on the PlayStation 5 if you pick one up. Overall, it’s like the DualShock 4 with some slight changes in terms of design. If you have a PC that supports Bluetooth, you can use the controller wirelessly, otherwise you’ll need to use a USB-C to USB-A if you’re looking to connect the controller with a wire.

With Steam being the biggest digital marketplace for Games to Play With Controller on PC , there are options to configure your controller so you shouldn’t have much trouble playing your games with a DualSense controller. However, most games typically use Microsoft’s Xbox controller prompts when displayed. there are options to configure your controller so you shouldn’t have much trouble playing your games with a DualSense controller.

    6 Logitech F310

One of the gamepads you’ll hear recommended online to play with controller on pc  is the Logitech F310. It’s a fairly inexpensive controller that normally costs gamers around $25, although at the time of writing the game controller can be had for as little as $15 through Amazon. Coming in at this price point will get you a solid controller, but it’s not something that will blow your mind.

It’s a wired USB controller with Xbox-style controller face buttons, but designed to look like the PlayStation 4. It’s a plug-and-play design, so while the controller might not look premium, it should do the job without breaking the bank.

This controller contains software that can be downloaded from Logitech’s website that will give gamers the ability to customize and create profiles for certain games, but it’s also something you can use with something like the software Official Steam Controller Setup Guide. Can you get better controllers with a more premium feel? Absolutely. However, if you’re just looking for a cheap PC game controller, the Logitech F310 should suffice.

    5 8BitDo SN30 Pro+

If you like retro games, 8BitDo might be a company you know well. This is a company that provides hardware based retro themed game controllers that can work with some platforms but more importantly PC (play with controller on pc) . They’re especially great for those of you who want an old-school retro controller with some added modern touches. One of those controllers that deserves a recommendation is the 8BitDo SN30 Pro+.

This is a controller that looks a bit like the controller used for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System mixed with a similar design to the PlayStation’s DualShock 4 as it comes with more comfortable grips and analog sticks. Gamers can connect this wirelessly via Bluetooth or there is the wired option which is also used to charge your internal battery.

Interestingly, the battery compartment allows gamers to remove the rechargeable battery if using AA batteries instead. It’s a neat little feature only if your battery randomly dies while you’re playing, you can switch to normal AA batteries. It’s a solid controller not only for modern games, as it has all the buttons and configurations to enjoy the latest titles, but also if you like to play with emulators.

    4 Xbox Adaptive Controller

One controller worth talking about is the Xbox Adaptive Controller which was released in 2018. This is a controller specifically designed for people with disabilities. The base controller is large enough to provide menu buttons with a large directional pad and large domed buttons. From there, consumers can add additional button triggers from the various 3.5mm jacks that will correspond to different buttons on the controller.

There are a total of nineteen slots available so configurations can be made to suit your needs. It’s a solid controller that can be used for play with controller on pc , but it’s also not hardware locked, which is a big plus.

    3 SteelSeries Stratus Duo

SteelSeries Stratus Duo is a controller released to be something you can use for PC gaming Games to Play With Controller on PC . It has a shape much like Xbox controllers but the analog sticks are aligned much like PlayStation controllers. Likewise, the connection process is quite accessible as you have a dongle to connect the controller wirelessly or you can connect the controller via Bluetooth.

In the meantime, if you prefer to have a wired connection, this is also readily available with USB. This controller has all your standard buttons you would expect from a modern controller and it comes with a rechargeable battery. The SteelSeries Stratus Duo is also designed to be used for other devices, as well as the Android smartphone line.

Here’s the big downside you might have with this game controller. There’s no haptic feedback available, so if that’s a deal breaker and you’re looking for something specifically for PC gaming, it might be something thing to avoid. However, if you think gaming on your Android device might also be worth it, this controller might be worth $60.

    2 Razer Wolverine V2

Razer has been around for ages and offers some solid products. One of the line of game controllers they made was the Wolverine, which currently they have the Wolverine V2. It’s a wired controller designed for the Xbox Series X, but of course it’s also available to connect to your PC .

This controller has everything you’d expect from the standard Xbox controller Games to Play With Controller on PC , but like the Elite series, there are some nice little extra features. For example, there are capillary triggers that can give players an advantage by reducing the movement of your triggers before they register. Likewise, there are additional buttons next to the trigger buttons.

Unfortunately these buttons are not directly on the back of the controller, which would have made some entries a bit more manageable. However, unlike the Xbox Elite line of controllers, it’s a bit cheaper at around $100.

    1 PowerA Enhanced Xbox Controller

PowerA has been around since 2010 and offers different hardware gaming accessories. However, you might know them best for their range of controllers Games to Play With Controller on PC . The company has shipped several different controllers for console platforms, both for this list we’re going to stick with the PowerA Enhanced Xbox controller.

It’s a wired controller that mimics the Xbox line of controllers and there’s a wide variety of different color combinations. If you go online now or go to a local retailer near you, chances are you’ll find them readily available whether it’s a designed controller or just a color controller. There’s also the added benefit of back buttons for the latest Xbox PowerA Enhanced models which can be programmed, much like the Elite controller.

Likewise, the wire is detachable, so if you’re not using the controller and want to see the wire put in place without it getting frayed or twisted, that’s a nice bonus. If by chance the cord no longer works, this is an easy replacement without having to replace your entire controller. There’s vibration here too, which is also a plus, but the biggest selling point in my opinion when it comes to these controllers is the price.

    My opinion

There’s vibration here too, which is also a plus, but the biggest selling point in my opinion when it comes to these controllers is the price. These controllers are usually found between $20 and $30, so it’s not very expensive and very accessible both online and at retailers. Alienware X17 R1 Review Specifications

    Alienware X17 Release Date

Announced in early June at Computex 2021, the Alienware X15 and X17 are undergoing an interior transformation. In their bowels hides a real quadriga: four fans fully harnessed to the cooling of high-end components. Dell sent us the Alienware X17 on loan, an imposing gaming laptop that we tested passionately. So do four grinders do a better job than two? Answer in our test.

We regularly complain about it: gaming laptops often suffer from breathless dissipation. It must be said that the high-performance components they carry are not the type to remain cool by nature . and the dissipation systems offered by the various manufacturers are rarely very ambitious. Because apart from the use of more advanced thermal paste, the transition to liquid metal, as for example at ASUS, or the use of more heat pipes, the cooling systems do not change drastically. They evolve rather peacefully over the years, without marking any real break.

Despite a limited leeway (due to the finesse of its machines) Alienware has yet decided to innovate without pretending. To precisely seek it, this famous rupture. And to do this, the American manufacturer has done things the American way: that is to say in a big way. Instead of the traditional couple of fans offered for ages on the vast majority of gaming laptops, Alienware has found a way to slip (with a shoehorn) four fans into the chassis of its two new flagships. We’ll see if they bear fruit, but first of all, let’s take the time to detail the Alienware X17 data sheet that Dell sent us on loan.

    Design: the change is inside

With 399.23 x 299.57 x 21.4 mm for 3.2 kilos, the Alienware X17 R1 is clearly what we call a beautiful baby. The machine is not the type to go unnoticed on a desk, already by its measurements, but also because Alienware is betting on a nice white and satin color called Lunar Light.

The latter is rather elegant. It is also found on other brand devices such as the Alienware m15 R4 ( tested by us last June ). This coating gives the chassis a silky appearance which is not unpleasant and which also has the merit of not being too messy. We also find this silky touch once the hood is open. The coating this time is immaculate black. This two-tone appearance is reminiscent of the XPS range, which at Dell has made its signature. Alienware was obviously inspired by it.

In terms of lines, the X17 cannot deny its origins. It is a pure Alienware, which finds the same stylistic and aesthetic codes as the other devices in the range. The machine is indisputably racy, with its sharp curves and its well-balanced silhouette, but above all it offers a quality of assembly and finish that is truly irreproachable. Everything is assembled with meticulousness, and it’s always a pleasure to see. Alienware does not skimp on this side, unlike many of its competitors. It must be said that the manufacturer does not hesitate to make us pay a high price either… but on this point, at least, we get what we pay for.

    Webcam Alienware X17

Above the screen, however, is a 720p webcam with a really mediocre rendering, even for occasional exchanges in video. Given the health context, the resurgence of Zoom, Teams and other meetings. We regret that manufacturers are still too few to make a real effort on the webcams integrated into their laptops.

This camera is on the other hand surrounded by the various infrared sensors necessary for facial identification via Windows Hello. It will therefore be able to instantly (or almost) recognize your coil at start-up. Damage by cons: Alienware has not seen fit to add a fingerprint reader in addition.

As on other models in the range, the manufacturer deploys RGB LEDs on its X17, which shines brightly in the dark. The whole thing can be controlled from the Alienware Command Center utility (still just as badly done though…). Clearly, it’s the entire rear of the X17 that lights up, in addition to the Alienware logos. But also the keyboard and even the trackpad, which is also RGB backlit. In use, this trackpad is not a champion, its supported clicks are very imprecise, but given the available space, its surface is relatively large. It is therefore on the whole sufficient for troubleshooting.

    Keyboard Alienware X17

The keyboard is chiclet type, with silky coated keys and a relatively deep stroke. Their return is firm, for a good impression when hitting. We also note that this keyboard is rather quiet and precise, including in game where it made a good impression on us. That said, note that we are still far from the delights of the mechanical keyboard offered on the Alienware m15 R4 (only available in QWERTY and as an option). Given the price of our Alienware X17, we would have liked to find a similar keyboard… we will have to go back.

Another defect, but for some users only: the absence of a numeric keypad. Despite its 17 inches, and like its distant cousin the XPS 17, our Alienware X17 is not there to help accountants. We can finally rail against an incomplete backlighting of the keys, which only makes the main characters visible… and not the symbols. It quickly becomes painful to use.

    Conectivity Alienware X17

Connectivity is generous. It includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports; one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port; a Thunderbolt 4 port; one HDMI 2.1 port; one DisplayPort 1.4 port; an RJ45 Ethernet port and a microSD card slot. These ports are all located on the rear of the chassis. Only the power connection and a 3.5mm Jack headphone output are installed on the left and right sides of our X17, near the screen hinge.

On a daily basis, this rear grouping of the connectors is not the most practical, but it is entirely justified. The sides of the device are indeed monopolized by long ventilation grilles which run to near the wrist rests . Why ? Because unlike its competitors, the Alienware has not two, but four fans (two large, two smaller, installed one above the other and distributed in pairs on the right and left). They therefore need space and above all grids to laterally expel the hot air released by the components.

    Smart fan

Beyond this quartet of fans, Alienware engineers have also developed an artificial intelligence technology dubbed “Smart Fan”. Which has also been the subject of a patent. It is able to control each of the fans individually to increase, slow down or simply maintain their respective rotation speeds. The idea is to optimize the cooling according to the contexts of use and the heat released by the duo CPU / GPU, explained to us the Alienware representatives during the presentation of the X15 and X17 to the press, last June.

    Material

From a more material point of view, Alienware also replaces the traditional thermal paste with what the brand calls “Element 31”. As we explained a few months ago on Clubic, it is a TIM (thermal interface material) designed in-house and composed of a mixture of encapsulated gallium-silicone. This avoids the use of “traditional” liquid metal, likely (according to the brand) to damage the components over time. We will see a little later what this heavily redesigned dissipation system is worth.

    Design Assembly

It remains to quickly discuss the disassembly of the Alienware X17. This is done by removing 8 standard Philips screws using a precision screwdriver. Then unclipping the bottom plate of the aluminum chassis. We then access the components, the opportunity to discover the four speakers of the device we were talking about above. but also to access (quite) easily the battery, the two RAM bars and the SSD. Note also the presence of a slot for M.2 SSD left vacant. Perfect for adding extra storage in minutes…and on your own.

    Alienware X17 R1

If you’re lucky enough to buy it, the Alienware X17 is a formidable machine, brimming with power and benefiting from a really effective dissipation system, because it has been largely redesigned. The device is one that you look at with envy in computer stores, but its price is its main weakness.

The experience without real compromise that the American manufacturer offers us will ultimately only appeal to a handful of lucky people. Still, for almost 3550 euros, our loan unit skips an OLED screen. At this price, it would not have been stolen in our opinion.
