The “Project xCloud”: the Nintendo Switch Microsoft version

The “Project xCloud” was in test since April 28, 2020 in France. Officially released, but still in development on September 15, 2020. The xCloud is compatible with most Android phones, although we are still awaiting an agreement between Microsoft and Apple to see it land on iPhone.

The xCloud allows you to install an “Xbox Game Pass” application on your phone and tablet so you can play your games wherever you go, depending on your internet connection. You can therefore continue the game you started earlier, from your console or PC via your Android device.

For my part, I was able to continue my backup of Grounded on my Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus during my break (when I could still work #NonEssential).

On the other hand, not all Game Pass games are compatible via xCloud (given that it is still in development), so be sure to check the list of games before taking the plunge ! Finally, I would say that the xCloud accompanied by an Xbox controller or the Razer Kishi is a good alternative for players who do not want to buy yet another console, but still want to enjoy Microsoft games on the go.

The Razer Kishi controller, between ergonomics and practicality

Lightweight and comfortable, the Razer Kishi controller tends to remind us of Nintendo’s Joy-Con design, but with a more “grown-up” feel.

Its compact but expandable size adapts to the dimensions of the phone; on the other hand, forget the Rhinoshield type phone cases, because too thick Tested, and disapproved.

    Design Razer Kishi

Designed with Microsoft, the Razer Kishi sports the colors and layout of the elements of Xbox. The “Home” button and the offset joysticks will obviously remind you of the exceptional quality of handling Xbox controllers.

The ducts on the front of the controller provide correct sound without suffocation. However, the use of the excellent Game Pass tends to knock out the smartphone’s battery.

Which allows you to charge your smartphone while playing. Should you still have a USB-C socket on your smartphone to use the Razer Kishi controller on Android

Is paying for Razer a guarantee of quality?

Personally, I particularly like Razer. I already own two Kraken Pro V2 headsets, an anodized aluminum mouse pad and a few mice from my early days in gaming.

However, I admit that once I got the controller in hand. I still found it odd that the Razer Kishi controller was made of lightweight plastic.

After some research, I learned that the controller is manufactured by high-tech brand Gamevice and therefore does not come out of Razer’s factories.

    Build Quality

The plastic seems less robust to me than what the brand had accustomed me to. I was even afraid of “weakening” the lever by opening and closing the attachment device, even if it is only a helping hand.

Beware, that doesn’t mean the Razer Kishi is worthy of an entry level accessory, just that, in my opinion, it doesn’t live up to Razer’s craftsmanship either.

  • How Much RAM Does Your Pc Need?

How Much RAM Does Your Pc Need?

From loading your computer’s operating system to opening an Internet browser or running an application. Your PC requires a minimal amount of RAM to run efficiently. However, throwing more RAM into your PC doesn’t necessarily mean better performance.

    What is RAM?

Random access memory ( RAM ) is a very fast form of memory that stores data so that applications can be accessed quickly. This is different from storage memory like SSDs or HDDs .

Programs and apps, from word processors to games, all require RAM to run; the amounts add up quickly, so if your PC doesn’t have enough RAM to run open apps, they will suffer from slow speeds and often cause crashes.

If basic tasks are performing poorly, frequently stop responding, or multitasking is nearly impossible, that’s a good indicator that your PC needs more RAM. However, it is also possible to have too much RAM; it won’t affect your machine negatively, but it’s a waste of money if you don’t need it.

How To Check The Amount Of RAM In Your Computer?

Before you upgrade your RAM, it’s worth knowing how much you already have. If you are using a Windows 10 PC, click on the “Start menu”, then type “About your PC”. This will bring up the system information screen detailing the RAM installed in your PC.

For Windows 11 users, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open “Task Manager”. Here you can click on the “Performance” tab which will show the RAM of your computer.

If you’re using a Mac, click the “Apple icon” and select “About This Mac”. This will display your computer’s statistics, including memory.

    General RAM Guidelines

Before we dive deeper into specific apps, here’s a quick rundown of how much RAM your PC needs.

If you’re using a Chromebook or tablet, 4GB of RAM should be enough for basic tasks and apps. This is really the minimum amount of RAM you should consider if you are on a tight budget.

8 GB of RAM is often found in entry-level laptops and basic Windows PCs. That’s enough for word processing, web browsing, and even running low-end games.

Windows and macOS users should find 16GB of RAM sufficient for most tasks, letting you run multiple apps, web browser tabs, and mid-to-high-end games.

32 GB of RAM is ideal for demanding games, applications and graphic designers. However, if you are a 3D modeler or a computer engineer, the expansion to 64 GB of RAM will meet your needs with a noticeable increase in performance.

Apps That Use The Most RAM

When deciding how much RAM your PC needs, consider your most used apps and how much RAM they consume.

Operating systems tend to use the most RAM; Windows 10 and 11 require at least 4 GB of RAM and macOS Mojave requires at least 2 GB of RAM. Web browsers also use a lot of your computer’s RAM. Opening 20 tabs in Chrome uses about 3GB of RAM, but this can easily be reduced by removing unused extensions, closing tabs you aren’t using, or recently installing the browser.

The most RAM-intensive applications are professional tools used by 3D modelers and graphic designers, such as Maya and Adobe Premiere. These apps recommend between 16GB and 32GB of RAM, depending on how you use the programs. Adobe Premiere, for example, requires 32GB of dual-channel memory for 4K or higher projects.

    Do Gamers Need More RAM?

Gaming PCs often need an absolute minimum of 8GB of RAM, but ideally at least 16GB of RAM to run the latest AAA titles. Games like Elden Ring are memory intensive, so they need 12 GB of RAM. So if you want your PC to run smoothly when playing games and running other processes in the background, 16GB would be ideal.

However, many PC gamers don’t just play games, they also stream. While games don’t get a performance boost from installing more RAM, it does give you more leeway to run apps like OBS Studio, without affecting your gameplay.

    Faster RAM vs More RAM

If you are planning to upgrade your PC and install more RAM, you will probably come across names like DDR4-1600 and DDR-3200. However, you should not assume that a higher number provides more RAM or even better performing RAM.

The numbers at the end indicate the memory speed, for example 3200MHz. That doesn’t mean your RAM will run at that speed though; it’s the manufacturer’s way of telling you that the modules can run at this speed.

On-board memory profiles can be enabled through your PC’s motherboard BIOS. So if you buy a DDR-3200 RAM stick, it will run at 2133 MHz unless you specify otherwise. Before doing this, however, you’ll need to make sure your motherboard supports Intel’s Extreme Memory Profile (XMP) and the speed your RAM modules are rated for. Note that this is different from overclocking your PC’s RAM.

Prepare Your PC for the Future

If your PC has enough RAM to run the programs and applications you need, you probably don’t need to buy and install more RAM unless your computer feels sluggish and slow to respond .

However, if you have the budget to do so, it’s worth installing a little more RAM than necessary. it gives you more room to breathe if you start using more RAM-intensive apps, and it reduces the likelihood that you’ll need to upgrade your PC’s RAM in the near future.

The most decent RAM won’t cost you an arm and a leg, especially if you only add 4GB or 8GB of RAM. And if you’re not concerned about RGB lighting, it’s an inexpensive way to ensure your PC doesn’t freeze while running multiple programs.

  • Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU Review

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU Review

Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti: Nvidia’s New Ampere Leader

The story of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti should be familiar ground. Halfway through the normal product cycle, release a better performing the best grapich cards?, better performing variant of the existing x80 series part with a price that makes for a compelling upgrade.

    Great Card RTX 3080 Ti

The GTX 1080 was a great card at the time, and the GTX 1080 Ti upped the ante and fundamentally redefined what we expected from a mid-cycle update.

But anything even remotely competitive against our hierarchy of GPU benchmarks, plus all the best graphics cards , are currently misplaced with virtually no retail availability and sky-high prices on sites like eBay. As a result, the RTX 3080 Ti looks much more like the RTX 2080 Ti than the GTX 1080 Ti: fast but expensive.

    Whats Change Significant ?

Basically, nothing has changed with the Nvidia Ampere architecture. More and more games support ray tracing and DLSS, and driver improvements over the past nine months have changed performance slightly since launch.

Otherwise, the RTX 3080 Ti uses the same GA102 GPU found in the GeForce RTX 3090 and GeForce RTX 3080 , disables two more SMs compared to the 3090 and halves the VRAM capacity compared to the 3090. It’s not that big. process in most games, and performance should generally be fairly similar between the two.

    Price More Expensive?

The real question will be the retail price and availability, which will no doubt be terrible. Officially, the RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition is priced at €1,199 – €300 less than the 3090, but €500 more than the 3080. In practice, the RTX 3080 is already selling for almost €2,000 on eBay, and even in the Newegg Shuffle it regularly goes for over 1,200€.

Meanwhile, the RTX 3090 is closing in on 3000€on eBay and costs over 2,000€in the Newegg Shuffles we’ve been tracking – and your chances of being picked in the Shuffle are extremely low, in our experience.

Here’s a quick look at the specs of the RTX 3080 Ti, as well as similar Nvidia GPUs:

    Performance RTX 3080 Ti

In terms of theoretical performance, the RTX 3080 Ti is 3-4% behind the RTX 3090 and 14-20% ahead of the RTX 3080. Memory bandwidth shows the biggest gains, thanks to the addition of two memory channels , although the clocks are slightly lower on the GPU side of things.

Power consumption is rated at 350W, the same as the 3090 and 30W more than the 3080, which could be an issue given that the 3080 Ti Founders Edition uses the same cooler design as the 3080 rather than the three-slot monstrosity that is the 3090 Founders Edition.

    Improvement RTX 3080 Ti

When it comes to generational improvements, the RTX 3080 Ti is potentially more than double the compute performance of the 2080 Ti, with almost 50% more memory bandwidth.

In practice, we’d expect performance to be around 40-50% faster than the 2080 Ti, but that’ll mostly be at 4K and 1440p. Buying a GPU like this for 1080p gaming (unless you play games with lots of ray-tracing effects) would be a waste of money.

    Conclusion

One last thing to note before continuing is that the RTX 3080 Ti implements Nvidia’s Ethereum hash limiter. The limiter works as expected so far, and we’ve seen average hash rates of 55-65 MHps with the stock settings, depending on the software used.

This is essentially half the performance we expected from the hardware and similar to what we saw with the launch of the GeForce RTX 3060 . Hopefully Nvidia doesn’t accidentally bypass its own lock this time, though we expect prices to stay above the official starting point, even with the limiter.

  • HyperX Alloy Elite 2 Review, Software, Manual

    The HyperX Alloy Elite Introduce

The HyperX Alloy Elite 2 keyboard takes the design of its predecessor and is positioned as a very complete mechanical keyboard emphasizing its RGB lighting.

For this, it takes advantage of the brand’s new two-tone keys which house high-performance HyperX Red mechanical switches already seen on the Alloy Origins .

    HyperX Alloy Elite 2 review

Two years after the release of the Alloy Elite RGB keyboard , HyperX is back in the spotlight with a new iteration stamped “2”. This new version brings with it some new features which appear very thin on reading the technical sheet.

The HyperX Alloy Elite 2 gaming keyboard offers a design identical to that of its big brother with a strong emphasis on RGB lighting and performance since the novelties of this model revolve around its keys and switches.

Offered at a fairly high price of around 170 euros, this new iteration will have a lot to do to convince us, as the market has evolved in recent years.

Design & Ergonomics for HyperX Alloy Elite 2

In terms of design, HyperX did not put much effort into this new keyboard since it has exactly the same design as the two previous models. We made the same observation during our test of the RGB version.

See Also : Corsair K95  RGB Platinum Review

The keyboard offers here a “frameless” hard plastic frame overhung by a metal plate which gives it significant rigidity and allows the keyboard and its kilo and a half to hold well in place on our mat.

The keys and their RGB lighting thus sit directly on this aluminum plate in order to efficiently diffuse the light.

Keys and buttons HyperX Alloy Elite 2

Above the typing zone, we find this bar slightly detached from the body of the keyboard. On the right, you will find the various multimedia control buttons as well as a very practical although a little cheap volume adjustment wheel .

On the left, three other buttons are positioned to allow you to customize certain functions of the Alloy Elite 2 on the fly.

The first allows to manage the power of the lighting, the second to switch between the different profiles. And the last activates the game mode which deactivates for example the Windows key.

    Lighting RGB

Due to their slightly translucent white rim, they therefore better diffuse the light coming from the RGB switches.

Here, it is clearly a matter of taste. Some will love it, others will find it very ugly. For my part, I am quite convinced. Even if at full power the lighting is a bit too powerful on this model.

Note also that this news touch almost overshadows the usual light bar on the top of the keyboard and which can display rather varied lighting effects.

    Mechanical Switches

The other novelty of the Alloy Elite 2 is hidden under these new keys since the keyboard features the red mechanical switches signed HyperX.

We had already been able to test these switches during our test of the Alloy Origins and personally I’m still a fan. We will come back to this a little later in the article.

On the other hand, we find the usual very imposing braided USB cable. Which will need to be connected via two separate ports to be able to take advantage of the USB port on the back of the keyboard.

    Profile Setting

As far as the functionalities are concerned, nothing very exciting since. As usual, it will be necessary to turn to the HyperX NGenuity driver to manage the entire keyboard configuration. The driver has not changed at all since our last test of a HyperX product and we still find this interface not necessarily very clear or easy to use.

Note that, as before, the driver must remain open and cannot be minimized in the Windows notification bar.

First, there is an interface dedicated to configuring the lighting effects of the Alloy Elite 2. The operation here is quite clear and offers an interface similar to the layers found in Photoshop.

    Configuration

The second tab is dedicated to the allocation of keys and has a fairly wide range of possible configurations. You can thus choose to remap the keys with any other on the keyboard. Certain system functions or even recordable macros directly from the driver.

All these settings can obviously be saved in profiles that we will associate with our games or applications. The keyboard also has an internal memory capable of storing 3 different profiles.

Be careful though: these profiles will only be accessible when the pilot is not running. If this is the case, the profiles present in Genuity will take precedence over those saved on the Alloy.

    Performances

We are now tackling the performance of the Alloy Elite 2 which. Like the Alloy Origins range, benefits from the new HyperX Red switches.

Related Post : Logitech K750 Keyboard : Perfect for typing

The difference is in the stroke which is shorter on HyperX switches with “only” 3.8mm.  And an activation point located at 1.8mm. The gain in responsiveness is quickly noticeable and will also require a little adaptation time to master the keyboard perfectly.

On our side, we are really fans of these switches which perfectly meet our needs whether in game or in writing. They turn out to be a little louder than the Cherry MX Reds and are in a way similar to the SteelSeries QX2 Red switches found on the Apex 7 .

In the same way, he was put to contribution for the writing of this article and answers there too present. HyperX seems to have found the right recipe for their homemade switches, which are simply excellent.

    Conclusion

In the end, HyperX gives us here a fairly mixed evolution of its Alloy Elite RGB model. If we always take advantage of an efficient design, we regret the lack of real novelty. The new two-tone keys may nevertheless appeal to some even if the absence of the wrist rest seems frankly disappointing.

It is in terms of performance that the evolution is most felt with the arrival of HyperX Red switches which are very efficient. They are among our favorite linear switches on the market.

We recommend that you turn to this model instead if you are ready to skip the multimedia controls. And very “bright” RGB lighting of the Alloy Elite 2.

  • Corsair K95 RGB Platinum Review

    Corsair K95 RGB

Corsair K95 RGB Platinum review: even faster and brighter

New high-end keyboard from Corsair, the K95 RGB Platinum has the heavy task of replacing the K95 (RGB) in the manufacturer’s catalog.

To put the odds in its favor, it is equipped with the latest ultra-fast Cherry MX Speed switches and plays the card of luminous aesthetics with a new backlit area on its upper edge.

In return, it loses two-thirds of its macro keys, which may disappoint fans of additional controls. This at least has the merit of reducing the size of the keyboard

    Presentation for Corsair K95 RGB

The K95 RGB Platinum is offered in two versions in our regions: one is equipped with Cherry MX Speed switches, the other with Cherry MX Brown.

A bronze gray color also exists in addition to the black color by default, but it is only found across the Atlantic (QWERTY version therefore).

    Ergonomics

Right out of the box, the K95 RGB Platinum imposes and clearly marks its high-end claims. Less massive than its predecessor (465 mm wide against 502 mm due to the removal of 2 rows of macro keys). It nevertheless still occupies a good space on the desk (171 mm high, about 60 mm more with the rest) palms installed). But without appearing intrusive thanks to relatively simple lines and side borders of only 5mm.

This new K95 knows how to remain aesthetically sober and does not show its video game side too much. Only the row of macro keys (G1 to G6) and the font of the characters betray this orientation. Without however removing this relatively serious aspect.

At least, this is true if we disregard the backlight, which is precisely highlighted by Corsair on this new keyboard.

    Backlighting

In addition to the multicolored backlighting (RGB) of the keys, the K95 RGB Platinum has a light strip at its top. For a very nice rendering, although quite a gadget, let’s face it. The effect can nevertheless remain discreet and brings a certain cachet to the keyboard.

    Corsair K95 RGB image

The backlighting of the keys is for its part very clean, thanks to the Cherry MX RGB switches used. Which diffuse the light better due to their transparent structure – the led is located at their base and not on the top, unlike previous led switches of the brand.

However, the light diffuses between the keys and not only illuminates the laser engraved inscription on the key. For lack of very precise directivity – the Logitech Romer G and SteelSeries QS1 switches only illuminate the reverse. the top of the key. One is not better than the other, it is a matter of personal preference.

    Material For Corsair K95

We find the brushed aluminum finish, typical of the manufacturer’s high-end keyboards, in the form of a plate a little less than 2 mm thick. This covers a beautifully made plastic frame and provides good rigidity to the keyboard. The switches are attached directly to this plate and no plastic shell is added to keep the ” frameless ” design dear to Corsair.

In addition to the airy side of this design, with its keys that seem to float above the chassis, it facilitates maintenance since all it takes is a blow of the blower to expel dust and other dirt that never fails to settle between the keys. The impression of quality is always there and the finishes are once again impeccable.

    Comfortable Keyboard with palm rest

User comfort is also at the rendezvous, in particular thanks to a beautifully crafted palm rest. Incorporating a non-slip and reversible magnetic strip, for two different types of coverings. One studded with small holes, the other covered triangular patterns in relief. The rubberized material used is particularly soft and therefore very pleasant on the hands. Not very sensitive to fingerprints, but it too easily captures dirt.

The palm rest is slightly raised from the keys to limit the arch of the wrists and the tilt of the fingers. Users who prefer a steeper angle, however, can deploy the feet below the back of the keyboard. Making the top of the keys drop from 30 to 32mm on the first row and 38 to 48mm on the last. Conversely, unlike the K70 RGB Rapidfire. The K95 RGB Platinum does not have any foot on the front and therefore a flatter typing position cannot be obtained a slight inclination remains.

The stability is impeccable thanks to 4 very large rubber pads placed under the keyboard, supplemented by 3 others under the palm rest. The 1324 g also contribute to this good impression, the keyboard also appearing quite robust.

    Connectifity for Corsair K95

In terms of connectivity, the K95 RGB Platinum connects to the computer via two USB 2.0 ports gathered in a single braided sleeve to avoid too much clutter on the desk. One of the two USB cables is in fact used to provide a pass through port on the keyboard. This in order to connect a headset or a mouse, or even a USB key, for example.

No USB hub mode on the other hand, you have to be content with a single port. The K95 RGB Platinum also ignores the mini-jack sockets that could have been used to connect a headset.

Too bad, even if keyboards offering these additional sockets generally have the problem of being encumbered with an even thicker sheath to group all the cables.

    Control for Corsair K95

As for additional controls, we are delighted to find the row of multimedia keys above the numeric keypad. As well as the volume control wheel which overhangs it, which is contiguous to the mute button.

    Corsair K95 RGB image 1

On the left part of the upper strip, three other buttons are used to change profiles on the fly – see box at the end of the test. Modify the backlight intensity (3 levels or total deactivation) or  (deactivation of the Windows key and key combinations to be selected in the adjustment software).

    Good Impresion

The K95 RGB Platinum is unique in that it comes in two versions. One of which features the super fast Cherry MX Speed switches – first introduced with the K70 RGB Rapidfire. We have just tested this version, the other based on Cherry MX Brown touch switches, more classic and with a different feel.

The particularity of the MX Speed is that it activates after only 1.2mm of travel. Compared to 2mm for other Cherry MX switches – the total travel being reduced to 3.4mm, compared to the usual 4mm.

They are therefore more responsive and you can feel it when typing. Since it suffices to press the key lightly to trigger the activation.

The Cherry MX Speed however remains noisier than the Cherry MX Silent. The followers of silence will therefore always have difficulty using a mechanical keyboard such as this one. Even if we have known noisier in the genre.

Of course, high-end keyboard for gamers requires, the K95 RGB Platinum offers complete anti-ghosting with N-Key Rollover (NKRO). This in order to be able to activate all the keys on the keyboard at the same time, without misinterpretation.

    Corsair Utility Engine 2 software

The configuration software common to all Corsair peripherals evolves and goes to version 2. The interface is therefore more logical and allows. For each of the three available profiles, macros can be created and assigned to them.

To the keys of the keyboard of our choice, to configure several lighting effects and to choose which keys to deactivate when the game mode is engaged.

The K95 RGB Platinum can accommodate 3 customizable profiles in its 8MB internal memory. Allowing it to be used on another PC while retaining all of its settings.

    Conclusion

Aesthetic, well-built, comfortable and responsive, the K95 RGB Platinum is a success. The removal of a few macro keys is, in our opinion. Not a big loss, although the heaviest users of these functions will be bound to be disappointed.

However, this makes it possible to reduce the size of the keyboard. Which becomes much less bulky and regains more classic proportions.

The integration of Cherry MX Speed switches on our test version will also delight fans of extreme responsiveness.

Logitech K400 Plus Test : a wireless multimedia keyboard

Logitech has just updated its multimedia wireless keyboard K400 and today offers an improved version, the K400 Plus. What are the evolutions of this keyboard, and do they make it better? Answer right away.

Like its predecessor, the K400 Plus features a compact and convenient design that is easy to use with one or two hands. We can indeed find a button used to trigger the left click of the mouse at the top left of the keyboard.

    Dimension Logitech K400

Its dimensions are 35.4 cm wide, 14 cm long and 2.3 cm thick.

We note that the keyboard is very thin and does not have pads to raise it and adjust its inclination, which seems logical for mobile use. With its weight of 390 g, batteries included, the K400 Plus is very light, to the point that it is forgotten when placed on the knees.

We notice the use of a thick and granular plastic which thus prevents the keyboard from slipping out of the hands and becoming too dirty, but is unflattering and recalls the material used on certain devices intended for children.

    Touchpad K400

Nevertheless, it gives a certain solidity to the whole and, given the nomadic character of the K400 Plus and its use by the whole family, proves rather judicious once the first impression has passed. The finishes are also impeccable; no assembly defect is noted.

As on the K400, the touchpad – which has swallowed up the numeric keypad – is also well thought out and practical. It can be configured through the software and assigned various functions.

The default setting allows you to adjust the direction of scrolling, to enable or disable horizontal and vertical scrolling, to manage the speed of the pointer or to manage certain functions such as “tap to click” or the zoom by spreading or pinching with two fingers.

Note that the volume control keys have migrated from the upper left corner to above the touchpad, making them more accessible when using the one-handed keyboard.

    USB Port Plug n Play

Using the K400 Plus is as easy as its design. All you have to do is plug in the “Unifying” USB receiver – which is also used to control all Logitech mice -, turn on the keyboard and synchronization is done by itself. The keypad is ready to use and works at a distance of 10 meters from the base.

This single receiver that allows you to pair several Logitech devices is very useful to avoid cluttering the PC or TV with various dongles. Unlike its predecessor, the K400 Plus runs on two AA batteries and promises a lifespan of 18 months.

You can turn off the keyboard when it is not in use to save the batteries and store the dongle in the cover of the

    Impresion Use Logitech K400

Finally, we note the presence of four small rubber pads, relatively ineffective and which do not prevent much the keyboard from sliding on a desk. Note alNo change on the side of the keyboard keys compared to the K400.

Here we find membrane switches, flat, relatively wide and comfortable but hard to activate.

Feedback is also very low, making typing laborious over long sessions and increasing the chance of typos. We regret that the “Enter” key is so small, which is a shame for such a used button.

    HIT for Logitech K400

No change on the side of the keyboard keys compared to the K400. Here we find membrane switches , flat, relatively wide and comfortable but hard to activate. Feedback is also very low, making typing laborious over long sessions and increasing the chance of typos. We regret that the “Enter” key is so small, which is a shame for such a used button.

The K400 Plus is relatively quiet, especially when you are used to mechanical keyboards. Typing producing a muffled and muffled noise on the letters. A little more clear and sonorous on the “Enter”, “Shift” keys and on the bar space.

    Conclusion

Simple and efficient, the K400 Plus fulfills its role of nomadic keyboard and back-up very well. This is a very good mid-range multimedia keyboard, positioning itself between the first K400 of the name and the K800.

However, the latter will be preferred for the backlighting, which is unfortunately still absent from the K400 series. But with its affordable price and versatility, the K400 Plus is satisfying.

The Best Graphics Cards 2022 For Gaming

GAMING SUPPORT – What’s The Best Graphics Cards for the money right now?

Dive into our list and let us guide you to the best graphics cards for your needs.

The best graphics cards for 2022 can help you with your video editing or graphic design needs, as well as handle any graphically intensive game at high resolutions. And, there are some really impressive cards like the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 .

Unfortunately, AMD and Nvidia graphics cards are currently in short supply, leading to skyrocketing prices on the used market. The latest cards in the AMD RDNA 2 and Nvidia Ampere lineup are definitely worth it, but you’ll want to make sure you’re picking the right card before you drop hundreds of dollars.

Whichever direction you take, whether you’re upgrading your old gaming laptop or building your own PC , you need one of the best GPUs for an immersive and seamless experience with the best PC games or the most demanding content creation software. Take a look at our list to find the solution that suits you best.

    Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti

Let’s not forget that the RTX 2060 Super is, for all intents and purposes, the opposite number of the RTX 3060 Ti for the RTX 30 series. The price tags of both cards match at launch, at €449 , but the significant pull of the RTX 3060 Ti to RTX 2080 Super performance again shows the tremendous generational leap introduced with the Ampere architecture. RTX 3060 TI SPECIFICATIONS

The RTX 3060 Ti has a decent 1665MHz boost clock, rendered partially useless due to Nvidia’s GPU Boost technology, which will often see this GPU far exceed that under load – around 1875MHz on average. This makes it the fastest in the RTX 30 series to date.

This is also a Founders Edition reference card, so we’re not considering out-of-the-box overclocking. However, the general availability of the Founders Edition coincides with the launch of the third-party AIB RTX 3060 Ti (December 2, 2020), so keep an eye out for OC models if you want to push things a bit further.

    Specifications for RTX 3060 Ti

    Stream Processors4,864
Basic Clock1.41 GHz (1.67 GHz boost)
    Memory8 GB GDDR6
    Memory Clock14 Gbps
    Exits HDMI2.1, 3x DisplayPort 1.4a
Power Connectors1x PCIe 8 pin (adapter to 1x 12 pin included)

However, you’ll miss the Founders Edition shroud if you do. It’s pretty much the same cooler design as the RTX 3070, which makes it comparable to my personal favorite of the lot, but it differs in one minor way: the tone of the metallic finish on the RTX 3060 Ti is considerably more lighter than dark gray for the three 30-series cards above.

It just pushes the RTX 3060 Ti to the top of the leaderboard in my eyes, but that’s purely an aesthetic shake-up. Both offer much the same quiet and cool operation as the others, equipped with the Nvidia-branded heatsink and smart cutout cooler, and they also use the new compact 12-pin power connector. Don’t worry, there’s only one 8-pin to 12-pin adapter included in the box.

    Peformance RTX 3060 Ti

Still, these are mostly cosmetic changes, and while this cooler provides more than adequate cooling power. It’s the redesign of the rasterized rendering pipeline through the Ampere architecture that is the architect of its performance. The details of which you can read more about in our Nvidia RTX 3080 review, but again for those on the back.

Each streaming multiprocessor, or SM, in Nvidia’s RTX 30 GPUs received double the number of floating point units (FP32) compared to previous generations of GPUs . The advantage is greater parallelism and the ability to not only switch between integer and floating point operations depending on the workload. But also to use more FP32 units when there is fewer entire operations required. This happens a lot in games, hence the change.

FP32 units within a given GPU are also what Nvidia counts as the CUDA Core total for each GPU specification. So when comparing the RTX 30 series with the RTX 20 series. The reality of such an architectural split becomes very clear.

    Cores

Where you might expect a card closer to the RTX 2060 Super’s 2,176 core count, we’re now looking at the 4,854 CUDA Core RTX 3060. The same could be said for the opposite number of 4,352 CUDA Core RTX 2080 Ti (sort of). The RTX 3090, equipped with 10,752 CUDA cores.

It’s all been an efficient experiment in GPU topology too, with the existing RTX 30-series GPUs managing to dominate their RTX 20-series counterparts. And I’m happy to report that the RTX 3060 Ti is no different . But we will get there.

    Capacity RAM

With 8GB of GDDR6 capacity and a free 256-bit memory bus. The RTX 3060 Ti is capable of an overall memory bandwidth of 448GB/s, which matches the RTX 3070 in every way. only possible concern for any potential buyer of the spec list that I can point out with possible dismay.

It’s not that an 8GB memory capacity apparently has much of an impact on gaming performance right now. Not to say that it will not be the case at one time or another.

I won’t talk too much about unsubstantiated rumors in a review, but we’ve heard several rumors of as-yet-unannounced RTX 30-series cards with higher memory capacities than currently available. Including an RTX 3080 with 20GB of VRAM, an RTX 3080 Ti with 20 GB of VRAM, and even an RTX 3060 with up to 12 GB of VRAM.

It’s hardly proof of anything, I have to admit. But that makes me wonder if this is just reflexive action in light of AMD’s 16GB (and possibly 12GB) RX 6000 series graphics cards. Or if there’s a dark cloud which is approaching for those of us who own cards with, perhaps, say, modest memory capacities and overall bandwidth .

    Conclusion

Every game developer I’ve spoken to has been keen to make better use of larger high-speed memory stores for more elaborate textures and the like chance. Scalability is still the name of the game for almost every stage of development, and not in the least for PC games.

But as I said, that’s not so much a reality that we have to face today. The RTX 3060 Ti manages to maintain a stable gallop in modern games at 1080p, 1440p and even 4K. Which is the first time I think we can safely say that of an xx60 level graphics card without hissing laborious or serious warnings.

  • Logitech G613 Keyboard Review, Software and Manual

    Logitech G613

    Logitech G613 review

When you taste the joys of wireless, it’s hard to go back to traditional peripherals. After gaming mice and headsets, it seems it’s the turn of mechanical keyboards to finally cut the cord.

Recently unveiled at the PAX West conference, the Logitech G613 is indeed positioned as the very first wireless model truly adapted to gaming. What sound a small revolution in the sector?

Advertised as just as powerful as its wired counterparts. Logitech’s new mechanical keyboard works without any cables and promises 18 months of battery life. Enough to enjoy excellent freedom of movement. Especially when paired with one of the wireless gaming mice presented in our selection .

    Design And Ergonomics

Question look, the Logitech G613 is sober. The set is made of plastic, in black and gray tones. Allowing it to be discreetly integrated into a gaming or office oriented setup.

    Logitech G613

At first glance, besides its few additional keys, nothing really suggests that it is actually a keyboard especially designed for gamers.

    Construction Logitech G613

The construction is similar to what we had discovered on the Logitech G213 , and this wireless model also takes the broad outline. The set is therefore rather imposing, with approximately 48 cm in length and 21.5 cm in width.

A template that will not necessarily be to everyone’s taste, and that we owe to the presence of a wrist rest directly integrated into its frame.

If in practice it will provide additional comfort during use, we regret that it is still not possible to remove it.

    Others Logitech Keyboard:

    Ergonomics

The few criticisms that we may have made concerning the construction of the G213 also remain present, with a structure that may be a little too flexible for our taste, especially on its upper part.

The set has beautiful finishes, but obviously does not appear as robust as a SteelSeries Apex M750 or a HyperX Alloy Elite FPS.

    Additional Keys Logitech G613

On the left of the keyboard, the G613 includes 6 additional keys named G1 to G6. You can come and assign the actions of your choice (or macros) via the Logitech software that we present to you a little below.

A real bonus for office automation and certain games, such as MOBAs or MMOs. Where you can take advantage of additional shortcuts to facilitate access to your various skills.

Obviously, these additional keys will not be to everyone’s liking there again. And fans of keyboards simplified to the maximum will have to be content with them, or wait while waiting for the announcement of other wireless mechanical keyboards.

    A versatile wireless connection

The wireless connection of the G613 is made in a few seconds, and you can choose between LightSpeed connectivity (via the USB dongle) and a more traditional Bluetooth connection.

It is even possible to combine the two and switch between them at any time via the dedicated keys on the keyboard.

In practice, we will obviously opt for the LightSpeed connection when the keyboard is used for gaming. since this technology will allow a response rate of 1 ms. Enough to enjoy your games without the slightest latency.

    Bluetooth Connection

The Bluetooth connection can in turn be used to connect the keyboard to a laptop, tablet or even a smartphone. We then better understand the presence of a dock allowing you to drop off your mobile phone. Since it will become possible to answer your SMS or write an e-mail on your smartphone from the Logitech G613.

    Support Software / Driver Logitech

The G613 is compatible with the software included with most Logitech gaming peripherals. If you already have it, you just need to update it for the brand’s new wireless keyboard to be automatically detected.

From the tool, it will be possible to create different profiles according to its games and applications. For each profile, we can then assign specific commands to keys G1 to G6.

Note that unlike some competitors, it is not possible here to modify the mapping of the other keys of the G613.

Software For Mac OS : LG Hub Installer

    Manual Guide : Manual Guide

    Performance Logitech G613

The G613 incorporates the Romer-G mechanical switches, already present on many models in the range. These are tactile switches approaching the experience offered by Cherry MX Brown. They have the following characteristics:

    • Activation force at 45 cN
    • Activation point at 1.5 mm
    • Durability 70 million keystrokes

In use, the performance is as convincing as on the brand’s previous keyboards, with a typing that is both fast and responsive. Nothing to say, the Romer-G switches fulfill their role perfectly. And the choice will obviously have to be made according to your preferences.

Some gamers will favor linear switches, such as the Cherry MX RED from the SteelSeries Apex M500 , others the Razer Yellow silent switches discovered on the BlackWidow Chroma V2 .

    Experience after use Logitech G613

On our side, and after ten days of using the Logitech G613 for both office and gaming, the results are positive. The keyboard offers a pleasant typing, and it is impossible for the naked eye to tell the difference between this wireless model and a corded model.

The responsiveness is exemplary, and no latency or signal loss was noticed during our tests.

The keyboard is perfectly at ease on a desk, but can also be used to enjoy your games from your stay. In this configuration, we would nevertheless recommend using the extension offered by Logitech in order to best position the USB dongle acting as a wireless receiver.

And if you see some latency appearing, chances are it is coming from your TV rather than the Logitech G613.

    Conclusion

For a first in the world of wireless mechanical keyboards, the Logitech G613 is doing it with honors. Versatile and easy to use, it allows you to enjoy your games without the slightest cable. And we must admit that we have been waiting for this for a long time!

While some players may regret a somewhat basic construction compared to the best gaming keyboards on the market. The G613 is nonetheless efficient and effective in all situations.

The keyboard does exactly what is expected of it, and portends great things in the months to come. While waiting for the response from the competition, we can only recommend it! As a reminder
